Kim has been involved in the accounting profession in private industry and public accounting since 1984 when she graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science Accountancy degree. Kim joined Nolan Giere & Company in 1990 as a staff accountant and has gained valuable experience in financial and tax planning for corporations and individuals. Upon earning her master’s in taxation in 1996 at Capital University Law School, Kim was promoted to manager. She was named a partner and owner in the firm in 2000 and joined the FHF team in 2021 with the merger.

Kim’s areas of expertise are family and closely held businesses, tax compliance and planning, generational transition planning, and business advisory services. Kim takes a very personal approach to serving her clients. “I view my client’s businesses as my own, so I spend ample time learning about their business and industry to ensure their business is set up to be successful.”  To Kim, her clients are more than just an account, but rather long-term relationships that she continuously invests in.

Kim is tremendously excited for the opportunities the FHF and Nolan Giere & Company merger created for her clients to have access to various services that were not offered in the past. She looks forward to the ability to expand her skillset with the new in-house services.

Outside of work, Kim dedicates her time to various organizations in her community. She is a former President of the Troy Kiwanis Club, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Kim also spends her time as a Board Member for the Troy Tax Incentive Review Council and is a Leadership Troy Graduate.

When Kim isn’t serving her clients, she enjoys traveling to different countries with her husband of 35 years, having traveled to over 5 continents and counting.
