This week, our Intern Spotlight introduces you to Shereen Tuerhong.  Shereen is a student, attending Wright State University, Master of Accountancy.  Read on to learn more about Shereen and her interests…

What are the main day-to-day responsibilities involved in this internship? What kind of jobs/projects are you working on?  My day-to-day responsibilities are making sure I’m delivering the tasks on promised time, and keep the reviewer updated on my progress. In addition, make sure to reach out when I have availability to work.  I’m working on an audit for a C-Corp currently. While waiting on the documents from clients, I’m doing several tax returns in between.

What do you enjoy most about working at Flagel Huber Flagel? One of the biggest joys I have by working for Flagel Huber Flagel is the people. Everyone is extremely friendly, always willing to help and make sure you can get as much results as you can throughout your internship.

What do you think are some essential qualities to have to be a successful intern? In my opinion, effective time management skills, willingness to ask/learn and practicing on how to prioritize tasks are the most essential qualities to be successful as an intern.

What is your personal/family life like? In personal life, I’m involved in an International Friendship Organization. So I do my best to help out if they have any events, or if any students needs any support.

What are your interests, hobbies, and/or how do you like to spend your time? At my leisure, I usually will hang out with friends to play pickleball or watch a movie. And one of my biggest hobbies is cooking which I do a lot.
