Alicia Manning, CPA, Manager
Education: Wright State University, BS in Accounting and Finance
Favorite part about working at Flagel Huber Flagel: I love working with the nonprofit sector and I love the people that I work with at Flagel. I have formed some really great relationships during my time at Flagel.
What is your area of expertise at Flagel? What do you help people to do? I work on the financial statement side at Flagel, providing services such as audits and reviews. I work with a wide variety of clients, but spend most of my time working in the nonprofit sector. GAAP is ever-changing with new accounting standards coming out faster than most can keep up with. Specializing on the A&A side means that I can help our clients keep up with these changes and navigate through them in a seamless and efficient manner for their organization, so that they can focus on what matters to them – such as their mission.
Family: I live with my wonderful husband, Matt, our adorable and perfect baby, Isaiah, and our two puppies Loki and Ollie (though they have passed the age that most would consider puppy)
Favorite way to spend your time: Reading, playing with Isaiah and spending time with Matt.
Fun Facts: I have completed 4 marathons to raise money for the Organization for Autism Research. I sit on the board of the Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association and the finance committee for the YWCA Dayton – both great organizations that do a lot for our community, so I am proud to serve them both.
Favorite movie/band/musician/TV show/Book? Movie: The Big Lebowski, Band: Our Lady Peace (in their prime), TV Show: Monk, Psych, Friends, Book: Fall of Giants by Ken Follett
